So to answer a few of your questions

What animation software did you use Rob?

I use Vyond, I am fortunate as my role means I have fully funded version which is around £500 per annum, but when considered that I produce around 100 animations a year for work projects, this represents value for money as it reduces the time and cost of video production which I also undertake. Shooting, editing. etc. are far more time consuming that an animation. Also voice overs are easy to edit , if you need someone to deliver to camera it can take multiple takes to get the script correct. An animation is just 1 edit. Hence my decision not to deliver to camera for my conference film as I'm not presenter. I also have what could be described as a face for radio.

Could there be issues with content being held in a hosted solution?

It is hosted as this is only available for our students, who are employees of our organisation. Where the project meets it's open remit, is in using it as a design model, looking at the ways we mitigated access issues and digital literacy gaps. Other developers may look at the model and identify solutions that could be valuable to them. Our student usage data is held on a learning records store which uses tin can analytics and connects to the organisational LMS via xApi this allows us to view data on content viewed offline. Meaning we can build a really detailed picture of student usage. There are a lot of offline delivery Apps that do the same thing ,such as the Moodle App, iSpring have a version to go with their content creation software and this functionality will become more prevalent as mobile first approaches are adopted more widely

How accessible is the online exam in terms of the language level for them?

This is an issue, ESL is a problem, we trying to create our revision tool questions in a way that reflects the tone and style of exam questions. However, levels of English language skills among the student cohort is mixed. It is impossible at the moment to fully support this as an L&D team. We try and use in the tools and in classroom delivery a set of standard terms and references that should mean students have familiarity with those likely to be used in the exam.
